New product, new brand, new distributor relationships

The client
AuCom is a global leader in the design and manufacture of industrial power control systems, its soft-start technologies power up industrial solutions on all continents.
 

The challenge 
AuCom saw its inaugural international distributor conference as a way of managing a number of strategic initiatives all coming into alignment at the same time:

  • Rebranding the company
  • Releasing the EMX3, the new flagship product to a global distributor network
  • Maturing their engagement model with distributors

The potential was huge, but so were the challenges. It was a great opportunity to engage with a diverse range of businesses in a way that would make a strong and lasting impression, but so much needed to be achieved in only three days.

 

 

The solution
Initially approached to develop a PowerPoint template, Synapsys worked with AuCom to develop a vision for the event.  A large chunk of the AuCom team needed to be involved, from the CEO through Marketing and Communications to Training and Technical.

Synapsys led a process to define a vision for the day:

  • Participant resources including session guides for the complete conference
  • Design of activities that could be presented by AuCom staff but supported by Synapsys expertise
  • An interactive multimedia product that served multiple purposes: introduce the new product, train distributors in its value proposition, and also form a key part of the global sales process
  • AuCom staff facilitator training
  • Conference event management

Synapsys then developed a complete kit that would make the conference a success, leaving AuCom to remain focused on their core business expertise.

Synapsys’ educational and development skills ensured that the delegates retained as much information as possible from the sessions, and that the multimedia sales tool was designed for maximum results.


The benefit
The Synapsys kit, which included multimedia material, was used, via the conference to: rebrand, launch the product, and train staff and distributors. The kit provided distributors with the tools to train their own staff, and also delivered on-going sales support material.

One distributor alone ordered 3000 copies of the interactive CD as part of their sales push.....
